January is one of the best months to go fishing in Cabo San Lucas.
Temperature: 75 degrees
Most Common Fish Caught: Striped Marlin, Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna
Temperature: 75-78 degrees
Most Common Fish Caught: Striped Marlin, with smaller Yellow fin Tunas coming in.
Temperature: 80 degrees
Most Common Fish Caught: Sea Bass, Snapper, Grouper and Cabrilla. Yellowtail start to come in towards the middle-end of the month.
Most Common Fish Caught: Striped Marlin and Dorado. Inshore you’ll typically score Yellowtail, Spanish Mackerel, and Skip Jack.
Temperature: 89 degrees
Most Common Fish Caught: bigger Marlin and Dorado. Inshore you’ll start to catch some Rooster Fish.
Temperature: 94 degrees
Most Common Fish Caught: Striped Marlin is the number one catch but you may also score Tuna, Blue Marlin, and even Wahoo! You’ll be sure to score some Rooster fish and Grouper inshore.
Most Common Fish Caught: Bill fishing is the best in July, Striped Marlin and Sail Fish with the occasional Blue Marlin. Wahoo is another big winner in the month of July, one of the most delicious fish to eat and aggressive fish to reel in! Inshore you may find Rooster fish up to 40-50 lbs.

October is the best month for fishing, which is why most of the big tournaments are held this month.

Most Common Fish Caught: Anglers expect to catch 300+ lb Yellowfin Tuna and Black and Blue Marlin. Large Dorado, Wahoo and Sail Fish. It is a very busy time in Cabo San Lucas and charters need to be booked far in advance because of the demand.

Most Common Fish Caught: Dorado, Sailfish, Striped Marlin and Tuna offshore. Inshore there are Wahoo and Mako sharks. The WON Tuna Jackpot Tournament is early November, be sure to plan around that as the most boats are in the water at that time.
