Covid-19 Testing

Is there a grill?

Yes, there is a grill on the private balcony.

Are pets or Service Animals allowed?

Sorry, they are not. While we love pets, they are not allowed on the premises under any circumstances.

If I arrive late into the evening or very early in the morning, how will I get in?

You will receive a front gate key card at arrival (upon request). If you do not receive one, there is a “Ring” button on the left side of the gate that will ring the security guard's phone if he is making his rounds.

Is there storage for my surf board and gear?

Yes, each condo comes with one secure storage surf locker on the ground floor. An outside shower is located nearby as well.

Do you have internet access?

Yes, our speed tests normally read around 300mbps with a fiber connected system for the building. However, please consider that the infrastructure in Mexico is not that of the US and outages can occur.

Where do you pick up groceries?

You can get your groceries from La Comer or Chedraui which are both a five minute drive from Las Olas.

Is it safe to drink the water?

The water in the condo is safe for consumption; it is filtered and ultra-violet purified before it comes into the building.

Is it safe to swim on the beach?

Yes, the beach in front of the condo is one of few safe swimming beaches in San Jose del Cabo. However, there is always an inherent risk when swimming that must be assumed.

Where can we rent surfboards?

There is a shop called Costa Azul Surf Shop, which is right across the street. Surf in Cabo is another shop right on the beach by Zipper’s Bar and Grill with rentals and lessons.

Are there beach chairs/umbrellas available in the condo?

There are comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas provided in the pool area. We provide four (4) beach chairs, one (1) beach umbrella and (1) small cooler is available for your use.

Is there a hair dryer?

Yes, each condo comes with one hair dryer.

Is there parking available?

Yes, each unit gets one parking space.

Is there a grill?

Yes, each of our condos comes with a propane grill, located on the private balcony.

Is there an in-unit washer and dryer?

Yes, and we also provide laundry detergent and dryer sheets. For optimal washing/drying, please put in less clothes and do more loads.

What kitchen amenities are included?

We provide a coffee maker, tea kettle, blender, toaster, pots/pans, salt , pepper, coffee, tea and sugar. An inventory list is provided after you book.

Can we get the condo cleaned during our stay?

Yes, please contact Ricky if you would like a mid-stay cleaning.

Is recycling available?

No, unfortunately all of the trash is collected together.

Any recommendations on extras to pack?

Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are always helpful. If you plan on surfing or snorkeling, we recommend surf booties to protect your feet from sea urchins or rocks.

If I get sick what should I do?

Can I bring my drone?

Yes, but Drones are not allowed to be flown on the property.

Should I get travel insurance?

Travel insurance is always recommended. Better safe than sorry in our opinion!

Is Mexico safe?

It is always a good idea to travel with caution and be mindful of your surroundings.

Is there a local concierge service you recommend?

Let us know what activities you are interested in and we will use our experience and relationships to connect you with a safe and reliable local guide.

Is it better to use pesos or dollars?

Using a credit card is always preferred. If cash is the only option, you will make the best use of your money by exchanging it to pesos.

What is the legal drinking age in Baja?

The legal drinking age is 18 in all of Mexico.

Will my cell phone work in Baja?

Call your local service provider before you leave to find out if it needs to be activated for use in Baja. If you travel to Baja frequently and need cellular service, it might just be easier and cheaper to take advantage of one of the many low priced local cellular promotions that include a phone and a pre-set amount of time. You will then have a phone that you can use whenever you are traveling to México. You can add more time by way of a prepaid card if needed, and you can use it again on every trip.

Is there Uber in Mexico?

There is Uber in México, however, Uber does not pick up from the airport. Also, only three people are allowed in the Uber. If you plan to be driving/exploring, we recommend renting a car from Cactus Rent-A-Car. We offer roundtrip and one way private luxury airport transportation with the option to stop at the grocery store on the way to the condo.

What can I use as proof of citizenship to enter Baja?

You will have to show a valid passport to receive a tourist visa. If you have some questions you feel you need to have answered before your trip, call the Mexican Counsel General’s office in Los Angeles, CA at (213) 351-6800.

***Remember that a recent U.S. law requires everyone returning to the U.S. to have a passport and valid Covid-19 Test.

What is the best time of year for fishing?

Fishing season typically starts in April and runs through July and picks up again October through January.

What are the construction times for Las Olas?

Construction time for Las Olas Condominiums is August 1-October 15. If you are booking in these months, please be mindful that there may be loud noise between 9am-4pm for all units in both buildings.
